Best BBQ in town. Love it!

We just went to this place. Three other tables. We got our tea and waited 10 minutes. No one came over to see if we were ready to order or nothing. Paid for our tea no apology or nothing. We try to support hometown business but we will never go to the business again and I will never recommend it to anyone

The best hush puppies ever. Awesome BBQ. Get some extra sauce for your to-go order! We Drive 3 hours to get some . They never disappoint!

Love this place! BBQ is always great, cheeseburgers are the in the county and the waitresses are so very nice and attentive!

Great food, bbq slaw the best.

This place serves great food.Nice people makes you feel like family. One suggestion...with their barbeque add another sauce instead of just the vinegar one.

Took the family here and the food was great. We had a burger, chicken fingers and a plate of pork. The portions were plenty and prices reasonable! Service was also great. Better take cash, it's all they take! Baked beans were excellent!

Excellent BBQ. It is a dryer style that soaks up their vinegar BBQ sauce wonderfully. Slaw is great as well. They do have BBQ by the pound if you are having a party.

Stopped by with a friend who had not experienced Carolina barbecue. Best he ever had!! It was great, as always.

We recently ordered from Whispering Pines for a Birthday Party and our experience with the owner was simply AMAZING. Wonderful, Gentleman, GREAT Food and his pricing was unbeatable. We not only got Great Service and GREAT BBQ but all the fixings and he provided warmers and coolers to keep everything fresh. I cant say enough about Whispering Pines, their food and their service. They also have THE BEST Burgers as well as other menu items. If you're in the area and want a Great place to eat give them a try; If you're looking for somewhere to provide food for you're next party/family gathering give them a call..You wont be disappointed. I will definitely be calling on them again for future partys/get togethers

I enjoyed the standard chopped bbq plate yesterday and enjoyed my experience. Hushpuppies were really good and I appreciated the bbq was not fatty. The sauce was unique but I enjoyed it. Only drawback is they don't accept credit or debit cards which was probably posted somewhere but I missed seeing it before I was ready to pay - luckily I had cash......

For real Lexington North Carolina style BBQ it doesn't get much better. Good burgers too. The servers are just wonderful and the decor is truly charming.

Real quick and good

Great Pop n Mom style place to eat, small seating so don't think it's like a classic restaurant. We usually just take out BBQ and never had a problem with it being tough or undercooked. I grew up with good BBQ so if you're from out of state and wanted a quick fixin then try this place on the side of 52 across from Golds Gym.

Great food and service is quick. Has change much in the several decades that been in business. BBQ is the specialty fare, so don't expect to much variation on the menu. Pork is served chopped or sliced with hush puppies, fries, and slaw. Overall a 4 out of 5

Good barbeque! No sweet sauce on table and both sauces on table too spicy for us. Service friendly and quick. Tater tots were cold when served...Would visit again!

I did NOT care for the taste of the bbq sandwich I ordered. The taste wasn't flavorful and the meat was ice cold in the middle.

Great food & prices

This was the original BBQ joint since the 1950s. The hickory smoked chopped BBQ is still good today. I like the hamburger steak too. Their red slaw is the best in town along with their hush puppies - both great compliments to the Q. Onion Rings are a nice side. Curb service is usually quick. The service is mostly good. The facility is old but has updated booths. This place a local favorite. Lunch will grab a $10 and leave you change.

Best place in Albemarle to eat!

The bbq sandwich was overflowing with chopped pork. I mean falling out everywhere. The meat is tender and all quality meat. Served on a soft bun, quickly and warm. The fries were too hot to even eat at first they were so freshly cooked and two of us shared one order. So ample portions. I will know to ask for extra slaw on my sandwich next time and the vinegar bbq sauce is a must have. Very affordable and a really good sandwich.
